On the special occasion of 70th Republic day of our Country, The Director Fr. Felix sdb, Assistant director Bro. Anand sdb, General Secretary Mr Krishnamorthy and the core team of Don Bosco Youth Centre, Vyasarpai conducted under 14 football match for the youths who live in our surroundings on 26th January 2019. This rolling trophy football match was inaugurated by Mr P. Sakthivel Reliance DGM and Fr. Johnson sdb with flag hoisting. Football tournament has begun at 9.00 am and got over by 6.00pm with the prize distribution. There were 16 teams altogether who participated in this tournament. knock out system was fallowed in this league.
DBYC Vyasarpadi A team and DBYC Broadway A team have reached the prestigious stage of playing final match among 16 teams. DBYC Vyasarpadi A team won the Savio rolling trophy for 2019 while DBYC Broadway A team won the prize for the runners. For the prize distribution ceremony Rev. Fr. Joy Panackel sdb, Mr P. Sakthivel Reliance DGM, and our Italian friends were invited. Awards also were given for the best player and for the best goalkeeper.
