The Salesian congregation has one main mission : the Youth. The children are in the heart of the Don Bosco Beatitudes Welfare Centre of Chennai : everything is done for them, in order to make them happy.

If you ever go to the Beatitudes Welfare Centre, you will enter in a very large place composed by a high school, a primary school, a large playground, a crèche, 4 boarding schools and a transit school. The laugh of the children will be the soundtrack of your stay in the Beatitudes : wonderful, isn't it ?

The Salesians' mission is to help the Youth, to help them growing and to become adults in the same way as Saint John Bosco. Their will is to show them the path, to encourage them to become wonderful people with a great future whereas they come from a very poor family.

Thanks to the Beatitudes Welfare Centre many children can go to school, many children have a home away from home.
